Sofiane Zaghbib took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tahar Khelaifia. Steeple Claydon FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Tarek Guellil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. Tahar Khelaifia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Djillali Riyah came out of the goal and Abderrahmane Adjimi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Annscroft AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
