In the 14th match minute, Annscroft AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lamine Hammani to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jabar Benguesmia in the 18th minute of play forced Stanley's goalkeeper Faouzi Dahleb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Annscroft AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sofiane Zaghbib in the 20th minute. Sofiane Zaghbib made a great header on Annscroft AFC's corner, it was just that Stanley's Faouzi Dahleb managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amayas Medjani in the 23rd minute of play forced Annscroft AFC's goalkeeper Djillali Riyah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jabar Benguesmia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Faouzi Dahleb came out and tried to block the shot, but Jabar Benguesmia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bassi Bentaala to make the kick off. Abdelhafid El Ouafi might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faouzi Dahleb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdelhafid El Ouafi ran back to his position shaking his head. Bassi Bentaala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faouzi Dahleb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jabar Benguesmia in the 67th minute of the match. Stanley's Faouzi Dahleb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jabar Benguesmia in the 74th minute of play. Adal Taha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Stanley's Bassi Bentaala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Djillali Riyah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Jabar Benguesmia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Lamine Hammani notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Stanley's Faouzi Dahleb. Faouzi Dahleb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the game, Bassi Bentaala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stanley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Annscroft AFC the free kick. A collision led to Stanley getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bassi Bentaala hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Lamine Hammani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Amayas Medjani came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Stanley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amayas Medjani couldn't finish the play. Annscroft AFC's Mohand Matmour got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Mohand Matmour off the ground. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Annscroft AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Imad Makhloufi was slow to take the kick. During this time Stanley's players had a chance to rest. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Annscroft AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stanley had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
