Fouad Belmadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Annscroft AFC's zone, Ilassen Bouchnak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Djillali Riyah came out of the goal and Ilassen Bouchnak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes Annscroft AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mohand Matmour. Djillali Riyah came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Melksham's Ilassen Bouchnak. But to his dismay, Ilassen Bouchnak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Melksham's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Abdelhafid El Ouafi scored to the left of an out of position Ramzi Dhahhak, making the score, 1-1. Ramzi Dhahhak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jabar Benguesmia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdelhafid El Ouafi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Ramzi Dhahhak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Melksham getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Abdelmadjid Ouenjelli hit a great ball. Jabar Benguesmia struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ramzi Dhahhak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annscroft AFC. When Melksham's Ilassen Bouchnak in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Annscroft AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 35th minute Ilassen Bouchnak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Djillali Riyah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Annscroft AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lamine Hammani. Ilassen Bouchnak might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Djillali Riyah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ilassen Bouchnak ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Melksham's goalkeeper Ramzi Dhahhak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelhafid El Ouafi. Djillali Riyah came out of the goal and Fouad Belmadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Annscroft AFC's Abdelhafid El Ouafi got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jabar Benguesmia was the one to do the kick off. Fouad Belmadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Djillali Riyah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abdelhafid El Ouafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mouloud Fillali during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Annscroft AFC booed when Melksham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mouloud Fillali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilassen Bouchnak struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Djillali Riyah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melksham. 64 minutes into the match, Annscroft AFC's goalkeeper Djillali Riyah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fouad Belmadi. Mohand Matmour kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A long shot from Fayssal Messis in the 66th minute of play was well struck, but Djillali Riyah made a really good save at the right post. When Annscroft AFC's Abdelhafid El Ouafi in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melksham's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Melksham's Fayssal Messis got a free kick in the 81st minute. Abdelhafid El Ouafi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Annscroft AFC's Djillali Riyah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilassen Bouchnak in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
