Sofyane Sellal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Bayna Brahimi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camel Oudin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bayna Brahimi having to interfere. In the 8th minute Ibrahim Ouenjelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amzun Sifi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Geddington AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hocine Hamdaoui to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Geddington AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hocine Hamdaoui hit a great ball. If Thelma Ouenjelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Geddington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sofyane Sellal came free, but Bayna Brahimi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bayna Brahimi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thelma Ouenjelli in the 21st minute of play. Gorton AFC's Sofyane Sellal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amzun Sifi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ibrahim Ouenjelli in the 28th minute of play. If Abdelmalek Zemirline had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amzun Sifi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ibrahim Ouenjelli in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Gorton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Camel Oudin. Amzun Sifi made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Abdelmalek Zemirline sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Abdelmalek Zemirline kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amzun Sifi. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Sofyane Sellal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gorton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Sofyane Sellal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Amzun Sifi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hocine Hamdaoui, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Bayna Brahimi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sofyane Sellal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gorton AFC booed when Geddington AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hocine Hamdaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gorton AFC's Amzun Sifi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ibrahim Ouenjelli in the 66th minute of play. Amzun Sifi went to the wrong direction when Amellal Assam was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Ibrahim Ouenjelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdelmalek Zemirline sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes of play, Geddington AFC's Ibrahim Ouenjelli made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amzun Sifi was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sofyane Sellal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
