Achour Kherchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Boualem Oussar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Salah Mekhloufi fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otterham's protests and gave Salah Mekhloufi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Otterham getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Salah Mekhloufi hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Hedge End FC's goalkeeper Oussama Mecherara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Riad Medjani. With an all-out effort, Otterham's Oussama Mecherara threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Slimane Rezzag, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Moussa Moussa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacim Achoui's late challenge caught a Hedge End FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nacim Achoui helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, one of Otterham:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Otterham. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moussa Moussa in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boualem Oussar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nacim Achoui got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nacim Achoui hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Boualem Oussar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moussa Moussa in the 33rd minute of the match. If Akram Hamani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riad Medjani struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Oussama Mecherara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otterham. Moussa Moussa scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boualem Oussar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Riad Medjani to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 61 minutes, Moussa Moussa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hedge End FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moussa Moussa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Hedge End FC's Moussa Moussa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boualem Oussar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 65 played minutes Hedge End FC got a freekick which was hit by Akram Hamani. Riad Medjani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilyes Chadli hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riad Medjani in the 85th minute of play forced Hedge End FC's goalkeeper Oussama Mecherara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moussa Moussa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Boualem Oussar made a huge save. The Hedge End FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
