The tension between the Formby and the Leek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Formby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Badis Cavalli to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Rafik Kourichi from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Mohan Saïb's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lili Salah might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mohan Saïb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lili Salah ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute Afennich Madjer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamid Yahlali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamid Saâdane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohan Saïb having to interfere. If Abdel Hamid Lacen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mohan Saïb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lili Salah in the 40th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afennich Madjer made a kick off. Hamid Saâdane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Leek booed when Formby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Badis Cavalli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leek's Lili Salah got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Formby fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Leek a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafik Kourichi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Formby's Mohan Saïb. 1-0. Mohan Saïb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lili Salah, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Leek's goalkeeper Hamid Yahlali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdel Hamid Lacen. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lili Salah in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohan Saïb saved Formby from getting behind. Afennich Madjer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Afennich Madjer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Hamid Saâdane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 95th minute Afennich Madjer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamid Yahlali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamid Yahlali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afennich Madjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Formby players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Leek.
