West Kirby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaïm Arif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdelatif Amri's late challenge caught a West Kirby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdelatif Amri helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ferryton! When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, West Kirby's Ziad Mammeri got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Amine Amirouche. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched West Kirby eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
