When Nouredine El Kettani came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Rochdale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nouredine El Kettani couldn't finish the play. Mouloud Segni hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. If Okacha Metref had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Porthcurno's goal looked a bit too open when Nouredine El Kettani came free, but Ilias Bencheikh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilias Bencheikh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halim Sebihi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Yacine Hamrouche struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Mohan Hammani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porthcurno. Mohan Hammani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghalib Zerouali in the 23rd minute of play. After 29 played minutes Rochdale FC got a freekick which was hit by Otman Dahmane. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ghalib Zerouali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porthcurno's supporters rose to their feet, but Ghalib Zerouali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohan Hammani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ghalib Zerouali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilias Bencheikh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halim Sebihi in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Porthcurno's Ghalib Zerouali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohan Hammani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ghalib Zerouali recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ghalib Zerouali to strike the kick off in the second half. Okacha Metref struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. In the 60th minute, Ghalib Zerouali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rdth minute of the game Ghalib Zerouali who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rochdale FC's Mohan Hammani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Rochdale FC's Ilias Bencheikh threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nouredine El Kettani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Halim Sebihi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Porthcurno getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ketta Chaib hit a great ball. Yacine Hamrouche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mohan Hammani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nouredine El Kettani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rochdale FC booed when Porthcurno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sofyane Guerrache didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Halim Sebihi got free with Ilias Bencheikh in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Halim Sebihi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rochdale FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Halim Sebihi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilias Bencheikh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Halim Sebihi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Ilias Bencheikh made a huge save.
