Amellal Cixous who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Ifthen Moussa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Akatelaji Ahmed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karim Kraïche having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Ellesmere Port's goal looked a bit too open when Akatelaji Ahmed came free, but Karim Kraïche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdellah Mammeri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Northwood FC's zone, Amellal Cixous stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ifthen Moussa came out of the goal and Amellal Cixous tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Northwood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdellah Mammeri came free, but Ifthen Moussa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdellah Zemmam might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karim Kraïche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abdellah Zemmam ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Ellesmere Port getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ismaïl Chebli hit a great ball. In the 48th minute of the match Amawal Medhaoui sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karim Kraïche skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abdellah Mammeri made the kick off in the second half. Ifthen Moussa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdellah Mammeri, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Northwood FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Addas Soltani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Northwood FC's goalkeeper Ifthen Moussa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
