Madjer Djamel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Calne City's zone, Nouredine El Kettani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Madjer Djamel came out of the goal and Nouredine El Kettani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halim Sebihi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Madjer Djamel made a huge save. Lotfi Bedroni took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mohan Hammani. Mohan Hammani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Rochdale FC's Okacha Metref got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lotfi Bedroni made the kick off in the second half. Mohan Hammani made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Achraf Nima sent off a good shot on target. Abdellatif Mezghich kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Achraf Nima managed to get in a good position for a shot.
