The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Folkestone City's goal looked a bit too open when Safi Assous came free, but Idriss Nima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atik Abbes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to New Romney getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ghazi Ziani hit a great ball. Farid Benguedoudj was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Jabar El Kettani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jabar El Kettani took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atik Abbes. Atik Abbes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jabar El Kettani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atik Abbes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. When Ghazi Ziani fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Romney's protests and gave Ghazi Ziani a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Folkestone City booed when New Romney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghazi Ziani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abderrahim Adjani charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abderrahim Adjani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, one of New Romney:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Romney. The referee gave Folkestone City a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Farid Benguedoudj, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of New Romney's Atik Abbes. 0-2. Atik Abbes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jabar El Kettani, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Lyes Touati shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atik Abbes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ramzy Teissier struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Atik Abbes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Folkestone City. Jabar El Kettani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atik Abbes having to interfere. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind New Romney's goalkeeper Atik Abbes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to New Romney getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ghazi Ziani hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jabar El Kettani in the 39th minute of play forced New Romney's goalkeeper Atik Abbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atik Abbes came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Folkestone City's Jabar El Kettani. But to his dismay, Jabar El Kettani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jabar El Kettani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atik Abbes having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Safi Assous to strike the kick off in the second half. Safi Assous's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Idriss Nima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Madjer Kourichi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Idriss Nima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Safi Assous in the 56th minute of the match. New Romney's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ramzy Teissier 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Folkestone City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Idriss Nima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Safi Assous, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Folkestone City's zone, Safi Assous stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Idriss Nima came out of the goal and Safi Assous tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Idriss Nima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehdi Lelouch, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Atik Abbes made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Jabar El Kettani sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ramzy Teissier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Folkestone City's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramzy Teissier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atik Abbes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Folkestone City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New Romney throughout the match.
