The New Romney fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atik Abbes should have stopped the shot. In the 5th match minute, New Romney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abderrahim Adjani to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okacha Benguesmia in the 10th minute of play forced New Romney's goalkeeper Atik Abbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bouabdellah Bensaïd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Whitchurch United's Okacha Benguesmia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atik Abbes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 45th minute Chaba Fari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atik Abbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, Yidir Mohand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Safi Assous to make the kick off. Mehdi Lelouch might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cheb Cohen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehdi Lelouch ran back to his position shaking his head. Okacha Benguesmia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toufik Embarek hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Okacha Benguesmia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Romney's Atik Abbes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes New Romney got a freekick which was hit by Toufik Embarek. In the 66th match minute, New Romney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghazi Ziani to maneuver through the defense. After 68 minutes, Toufik Embarek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Romney and the Whitchurch United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes New Romney got a freekick which was hit by Toufik Embarek. Cheb Cohen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Safi Assous in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in New Romney's zone, Okacha Benguesmia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atik Abbes came out of the goal and Okacha Benguesmia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cheb Cohen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Safi Assous in the 80th minute of the match. Safi Assous received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cheb Cohen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Chaba Fari came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Whitchurch United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chaba Fari couldn't finish the play. Atik Abbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okacha Benguesmia in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chaba Fari got free with Atik Abbes in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cheb Cohen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Safi Assous, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Safi Assous received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Cheb Cohen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Whitchurch United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
