Spectators: 6736 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 0) Halifax's Badaz Assous started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Safy Hadjar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halifax's Hakim Fadhil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Carlisle booed when Halifax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nassim Khaled didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arkam Boubekeur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faouzi Rebbab having to interfere. Nassim Khaled hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes, Carlisle's Aziz Douibi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hakim Fadhil came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carlisle reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferhat Jeanson during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Ferhat Jeanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faouzi Rebbab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziad Zeghoudi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes Carlisle got a freekick which was hit by Ferhat Jeanson. Faouzi Rebbab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arkam Boubekeur, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Badaz Assous recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arkam Boubekeur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Faouzi Rebbab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlisle's Safy Hadjar got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Halifax's Ziad Zeghoudi got a free kick in the 47th minute. Halifax's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Hatim Ayachi scored to the left of an out of position Hakim Fadhil, making the score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Safy Hadjar made a kick off. If Arkam Boubekeur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Halifax booed when Carlisle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Safy Hadjar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Badaz Assous in the 73rd minute of play forced Carlisle's goalkeeper Faouzi Rebbab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Badaz Assous received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Faouzi Rebbab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Arkam Boubekeur made a precise shot to the right of Faouzi Rebbab. Carlisle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 2-2 became the score in the 88th minute when Hatim Ayachi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hatim Ayachi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Fadhil having to interfere. Arkam Boubekeur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faouzi Rebbab having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Halifax players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
