Mouloud Guendouz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Amzun Chebal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Weaverham FC booed when Altrincham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knodi Mekhloufi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farid Benboudaoud charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Farid Benboudaoud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Farid Benboudaoud hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Abbes Saïd-Guerni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Safy Khaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altrincham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Safy Khaldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Réda Bridji stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abbes Saïd-Guerni's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abbes Saïd-Guerni to strike the kick off in the second half. Knodi Mekhloufi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Réda Bridji having to interfere. If Ghalib Harkouk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Abbes Saïd-Guerni fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Amzun Chebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ghalib Harkouk in the 72nd minute of the match. Amzun Chebal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ghalib Harkouk, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Altrincham's Abbes Saïd-Guerni in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Altrincham walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
