An unexpectedly hard shot by Kateb Oudjani in the 9th minute of play forced Heybridge FC's goalkeeper Rabah Moumen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Rabah Moumen managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Bolton's Bassim Matmour fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Bolton defense, Abdelhamid Nemchi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdechahid Kerkar. The Bolton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdechahid Kerkar should have stopped the shot. Heybridge FC's Rabah Moumen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kateb Oudjani in the 18th minute of play. Achir Saïdi-Sief hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The supporters of Heybridge FC booed when Bolton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bassim Matmour didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abderrazek Hadjadj came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Heybridge FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abderrazek Hadjadj couldn't finish the play. Abdechahid Kerkar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelhamid Nemchi in the 37th minute of the match. Abdechahid Kerkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abderrazek Hadjadj in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Kateb Oudjani fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rabah Moumen, passed just outside the right post. If Abderrazek Hadjadj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bolton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Abdechahid Kerkar went to the wrong direction when Zakaria Zidane was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kateb Oudjani made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 85 minutes, Badda Bouchemla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Badda Bouchemla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heybridge FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abderrazek Hadjadj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rabah Moumen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kateb Oudjani's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Bassim Matmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Rabah Moumen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bolton booed when Heybridge FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakim Mezali didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Heybridge FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
