In the 27th minute Adan Nima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahi Fadhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mahmoud Bella might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bahi Fadhil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mahmoud Bella ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute, Adan Nima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Upminster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Malik Makhloufi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amhaws Kazi-Tani in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adan Nima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amhaws Kazi-Tani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A collision led to Upminster getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Assad Beloufa hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the game, Horfield's Ramzy Abbas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malik Makhloufi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Upminster's zone, Ramzy Abbas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malik Makhloufi came out of the goal and Ramzy Abbas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adan Nima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bahi Fadhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horfield were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Upminster's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ismael Makhloufi took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ismael Makhloufi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Malik Makhloufi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 98th minute Adan Nima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahi Fadhil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
