Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brahim Larfaoui kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Mustapha Amrouni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thornbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustapha Amrouni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafik Saâdane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Houari Metaref sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafik Saâdane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bouabdellah Sakhri in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Telford's goalkeeper Rafik Saâdane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bouabdellah Sakhri. Brahim Larfaoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Toufik Mazzid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thornbury's Tarik Aribi suffered a concussion after 13 minutes and had to leave the field. After 14 minutes, Samir Redouane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Telford and the Thornbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samir Redouane hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Mustapha Amrouni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thornbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mustapha Amrouni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bouabdellah Sakhri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Houari Metaref fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toufik Mazzid having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Thornbury's zone, Brahim Larfaoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toufik Mazzid came out of the goal and Brahim Larfaoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brahim Larfaoui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Toufik Mazzid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Telford's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bouabdellah Sakhri fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bouabdellah Sakhri made a kick off. Houari Metaref in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Toufik Mazzid, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Bouabdellah Sakhri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toufik Mazzid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdellah Dahou in the 58th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Redha Djachem heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 67 played minutes Thornbury got a freekick which was hit by Lamine Zemmam. Toufik Mazzid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brahim Larfaoui's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Telford's Brahim Larfaoui ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toufik Mazzid. Toufik Mazzid yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Rafik Saâdane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bouabdellah Sakhri in the 79th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Thornbury's corner Nabil Ihaddaden fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rafik Saâdane quite easily take care of the ball. Rafik Saâdane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bouabdellah Sakhri in the 87th minute of play. Houari Metaref sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toufik Mazzid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brahim Larfaoui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
