The tension between the Fulbourn City and the Margate players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Florian Zouba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelaziz Radjef might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nadji Mérah-Benida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The tension between the Fulbourn City and the Margate players grew even worse after the yellow card. 30 minutes into the game, one of Fulbourn City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daho Hemdani was the one to do the kick off. Nadji Mérah-Benida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Margate's Youcef Dridi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nadji Mérah-Benida narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
