Cheb Haddadj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amawal Sad in the 45th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdel Zenia got free with Ilyas Debbagh in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bouzid Bezzaz during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cheb Haddadj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdelhakim Boulmerka's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute.
