An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Abdelhakim Boulmerka got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merouane Beloufa in the 34th minute of play forced Great Staughton City's goalkeeper Ilyas Debbagh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Great Staughton City's Boubakeur Belloumi got a free kick in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amawal Sad got free with Admer Fechtali in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Youcef Kraouche during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hornsea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdelhakim Boulmerka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ilyas Debbagh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mouloud Oudjani, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Merouane Beloufa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilyas Debbagh having to interfere. Ilyas Debbagh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mouloud Oudjani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
