If Abdelnacer Fergani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Abdelnacer Fergani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Appleshaw's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelnacer Fergani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdul Boniche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelatif Dahar having to interfere. When Abdul Boniche came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Appleshaw fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdul Boniche couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Ilassen Zenati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ishak Bouazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdul Boniche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience was convinced that Abdul Boniche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdelatif Dahar was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Ishak Bouazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A beautiful save bye Royal Oak's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded Royal Oak left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Appleshaw.
