The audience was convinced that Hocine Zeghni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Losif Bouazza was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Abdallah Zaoui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fodil Hammadouch in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Mouley Sad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Guildford's goal looked a bit too open when Yazid Messaoudi came free, but Losif Bouazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hocine Zeghni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Losif Bouazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Guildford booed when Bacup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amar Fahima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodil Belhouche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Afaghis Belhocine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Boumedienne Mazouni sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bacup's Abdallah Zaoui didn't even have to move. 31 minutes into the match, Bacup's goalkeeper Abdallah Zaoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fodil Hammadouch. Fodil Belhouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdallah Zaoui having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Akram Belghiche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bacup's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guildford the free kick. The supporters of Guildford booed when Bacup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akram Belghiche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodil Hammadouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdallah Zaoui having to interfere. If Hocine Zeghni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Guildford got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Belhadj.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hocine Zeghni to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Yazid Messaoudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yazid Messaoudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 63 played minutes Guildford got a freekick which was hit by Assad Derrida. Thelma Lkbira, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Yazid Messaoudi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute Hocine Zeghni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Losif Bouazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Hocine Zeghni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hocine Zeghni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdallah Zaoui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fodil Belhouche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Fodil Belhouche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
