Chérif Djeziri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Stonehouse getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cherif Meriem hit a great ball. When Middlesbrough's Daoud Fechtali in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stonehouse's goalie prevented a goal. If Walid Gaouaoui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 19 played minutes Middlesbrough got a freekick which was hit by Abdallah Medjiba. Chérif Djeziri made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Chahine Canhadja sent off a good shot on target. Chahine Canhadja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chérif Djeziri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Walid Gaouaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stonehouse's supporters rose to their feet, but Walid Gaouaoui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chérif Djeziri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zakaria Zenati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelmalik Brahmi in the 29th minute of play. Abdelmalik Brahmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zakaria Zenati having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdelmalik Brahmi in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zakaria Zenati saved Stonehouse from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Chérif Djeziri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakim Rezkallah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 minutes, Abdellah Ibrir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Middlesbrough and the Stonehouse players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abdellah Ibrir hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Abdelmalik Brahmis short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Zakaria Zenati to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Walid Gaouaoui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Lout Sahnouni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chahine Canhadja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Omar Boniche hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough's Asmil Mokdad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zakaria Zenati narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abdelmalik Brahmi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Daoud Fechtali's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zakaria Zenati was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Abdelmalik Brahmi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chahine Canhadja in the 76th minute of play forced Middlesbrough's goalkeeper Chérif Djeziri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Chahine Canhadja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Abdelmalik Brahmi came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Middlesbrough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelmalik Brahmi couldn't finish the play. If Chahine Canhadja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chahine Canhadja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Walid Gaouaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stonehouse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walid Gaouaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
