In the 20th match minute, Cockermouth United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chafik Hansali to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Adil Khelaifia put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bakki Bentaala. After having played for 28 minutes, Islam El Kounya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stockton-on-Tees FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Islam El Kounya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes in the game, Mabrouk Amara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hakim Skif having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Chahid Djamel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 48 minutes into the game, Stockton-on-Tees FC's Mabrouk Amara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hakim Skif made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adil Khelaifia made a kick off. Chahid Djamel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Adam Khadra notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Stockton-on-Tees FC's Bakki Bentaala. Bakki Bentaala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Islam El Kounya sped through Cockermouth United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hakim Skif. 80 minutes into the match, Stockton-on-Tees FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adil Khelaifia came free, but Bakki Bentaala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adam Khadra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
