With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bakki Bentaala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Islam El Kounya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hafs Zaghouane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sunderland United's Hafs Zaghouane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Makhlouf Meriem in the 21st minute of play. When Said Hadfi came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Sunderland United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Said Hadfi couldn't finish the play. Bakki Bentaala made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Zoheir Yachir sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes in the game, Bakki Djamel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bakki Bentaala having to interfere. Zoheir Yachir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bakki Bentaala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Islam El Kounya to strike the kick off in the second half. Bakki Bentaala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bakki Djamel in the 53rd minute of the match.
