Adil Khelaifia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nabil Lelouch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cockermouth United's goalkeeper Hakim Skif, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abdelnacer Nemchi hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Staithes getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mebarek Belmadi hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Idir Saâdani to make the kick off. Mehdi Meknassas short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Hakim Skif to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Cockermouth United getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Chafik Hansali hit a great ball. Idir Saâdani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakim Skif took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehdi Meknassa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd match minute, Staithes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehdi Meknassa to maneuver through the defense. Adil Khelaifia charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adil Khelaifia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Cockermouth United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adil Khelaifia to maneuver through the defense. Adil Khelaifia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adil Khelaifia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nabil Lelouch having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Cockermouth United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mehdi Meknassa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mehdi Meknassa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Hakim Skif tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehdi Meknassa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
