The supporters of Huntingdon FC booed when Shanklin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chahid Benflis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mokdad Bouzid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rabah Mezair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shanklin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Djamel Djebar in the 13th minute. Djamel Djebar made a great header on Shanklin's corner, it was just that Huntingdon FC's Mokdad Bouzid managed to reach the ball for a save. Raouf Gaouaoui hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Chahid Benflis struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Mokdad Bouzid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shanklin. Abdel Yachir kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, one of Shanklin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Huntingdon FC. Raouf Gaouaoui stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nadjib Gharnati. 0-1. In the 41st minute Nadir Athbedj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nadjib Gharnati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ghanem Khaldi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nadir Athbedj to strike the kick off in the second half. Ghazi Sandjak hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Nadjib Gharnati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nadir Athbedj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bilal Hamid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nadjib Gharnati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Shanklin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghanem Khaldi to maneuver through the defense. Bilal Hamid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nadjib Gharnati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Shanklin's Nadjib Gharnati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nadir Athbedj in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Shanklin's zone, Nadir Athbedj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nadjib Gharnati came out of the goal and Nadir Athbedj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Chahid Benflis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Huntingdon FC's Mokdad Bouzid. Mokdad Bouzid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nadjib Gharnati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nadir Athbedj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Chahid Benflis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shanklin's supporters rose to their feet, but Chahid Benflis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mokdad Bouzid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rabah Mezair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
