Mouloud Saïb might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yazid Kahouadji. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mouloud Saïb ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Abdessalem Bendali put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yazid Kahouadji. Berkwan Timsit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nailsworth's Bekathen Morceli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkwan Timsit in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Mouloud Saïb made the kick off in the second half. Bilal Ghanem charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bilal Ghanem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Mouloud Saïb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yazid Kahouadji was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The Nailsworth supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nailsworth would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
