The referee showed Rochdi Bridji the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rochdi Bridji kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Ahmed Reda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wallasey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmed Reda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cheikh Belaout in the 17th minute of play forced Bolton City's goalkeeper Yazid Kahouadji to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Makhlouf Moussa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berkwan Timsit in the 19th minute of play. Berkwan Timsit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Makhlouf Moussa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Wallasey FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Berkwan Timsit fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Bolton City defense, Ahmed Reda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yazid Kahouadji. The Bolton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yazid Kahouadji should have stopped the shot. Bolton City's Yazid Kahouadji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Reda in the 41st minute of play. Alsan Belmellat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Berkwan Timsit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Makhlouf Moussa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Wallasey FC's Daniel Bendissari got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Billel Merah shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Makhlouf Moussa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Berkwan Timsit struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Makhlouf Moussa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolton City. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Billel Merah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute of the match Malik Ben Arfa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yazid Kahouadji skillfully saved the ball. Makhlouf Moussa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berkwan Timsit in the 79th minute of the match. If Berkwan Timsit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Abdessalem Boukhari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cheikh Belaout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bolton City had played much better football throughout.
