An unexpectedly hard shot by Alsan Belmellat in the 5th minute of play forced Dunmow FC's goalkeeper Fayssal Zitouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Stéphane Mesbah took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Yazid Kahouadji to make any attempt to save it. Akar Ghoumari took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yazid Kahouadji. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The supporters of Bolton City booed when Dunmow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdessalem Sami didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Billel Merah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fayssal Zitouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Berkwan Timsit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alsan Belmellat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fayssal Zitouni having to make a save. Stéphane Mesbah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Yazid Kahouadji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Dunmow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Berkwan Timsit came free, but Fayssal Zitouni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Alsan Belmellat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Alsan Belmellat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fayssal Zitouni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lounes Sam fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunmow FC's protests and gave Lounes Sam a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dunmow FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lounes Sam hit a great ball. Lounes Sam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yazid Kahouadji showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stéphane Mesbah, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Berkwan Timsit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Bilal Ghanem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bolton City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Dunmow FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
