A wasted opportunity for Witney. Witney's Jaber Zughba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyes Meriem in the 17th minute of play. When Souad Djenoui fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Witney's protests and gave Souad Djenoui a yellow card for diving instead. Souad Djenoui kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Jaber Zughba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ziad Said in the 27th minute. Souad Djenoui was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 29th match minute, Witney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Souad Djenoui to maneuver through the defense. Jaber Zughba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyes Meriem, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The supporters of Hurworth booed when Witney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hassen Daouadji didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Ziad Said got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 50th minute, Aras Arav hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hurworth's Hani El Ounès proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Hurworth from getting a goal against them. Jaber Zughba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziad Said in the 55th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Hurworth got a freekick which was hit by Younes Douadi. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hurworth's goalkeeper Hani El Ounès, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Witney's zone, Lyes Meriem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaber Zughba came out of the goal and Lyes Meriem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th match minute, Witney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lotfi Driouche to maneuver through the defense. Hani El Ounès showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hosni Bendissari in the 75th minute of the match. Hosni Bendissari who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Hani El Ounès when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 82ndth minute of the game Lyes Meriem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Witney's Jaber Zughba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
