The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larbi Kourichi in the 4th minute of play forced Tenbury Wells's goalkeeper Mokhtar Benattia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Athmane Ibrir hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 7 played minutes, Tenbury Wells's Amdegh Ayad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Madani Halouadji came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tenbury Wells reached it. Mokhtar Benattia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larbi Kourichi in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nouh Zian in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mokhtar Benattia saved Tenbury Wells from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nouh Zian in the 13th minute of play forced Tenbury Wells's goalkeeper Mokhtar Benattia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to St Annes on Sea getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Abdelkrim Abbas hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, St Annes on Sea's goal looked a bit too open when Ziad Balaid came free, but Madani Halouadji reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Madani Halouadji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziad Balaid in the 33rd minute of play. Mokhtar Benattia came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by St Annes on Sea's Nouh Zian. But to his dismay, Nouh Zian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 43rd minute, Larbi Kourichi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mokhtar Benattia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Larbi Kourichi struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mokhtar Benattia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Annes on Sea. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ziad Balaid made a kick off. Mokhtar Benattia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nouh Zian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larbi Kourichi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Mokhtar Benattia made a huge save. Madani Halouadji made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziad Balaid in the 61st minute of play. If Nouh Zian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mokhtar Benattia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nouh Zian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Tenbury Wells's zone, Nouh Zian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mokhtar Benattia came out of the goal and Nouh Zian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mokhtar Benattia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Larbi Kourichi in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Nouh Zian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mokhtar Benattia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nouh Zian might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mokhtar Benattia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nouh Zian ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th play minute Larbi Kourichi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mokhtar Benattia. 0-3. In the 81st match minute, St Annes on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zyad Kerkar to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the game, Jawed Sifi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Madani Halouadji was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The St Annes on Sea supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing St Annes on Sea would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
