After 3 played minutes Maylandsea got a freekick which was hit by Nabil Ouyahia. After having played for 10 minutes, Menad Benguergoura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atherton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Menad Benguergoura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Atherton's Menad Benguergoura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bellemou Mediouna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Menad Benguergoura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atherton's goalkeeper Ilassen Zaghouane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amrani Matoub kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Hatim Ioualalen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilassen Zaghouane skillfully saved the ball. Chedli Boudiaf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilassen Zaghouane having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chedli Boudiaf in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilassen Zaghouane saved Atherton from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Muhammad Belloumi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Slimane Arav sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Menad Benguergoura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bellemou Mediouna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Slimane Arav to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Menad Benguergoura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bellemou Mediouna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Chedli Boudiaf got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 54 minutes, Saïf Ramdani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atherton and the Maylandsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atherton getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Saïf Ramdani hit a great ball. Chedli Boudiaf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilassen Zaghouane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slimane Arav in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atherton's goalkeeper Ilassen Zaghouane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atherton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Slimane Arav scored to the left of an out of position Ilassen Zaghouane, making the score, 0-1. In the 67th minute of the match Atherton got a corner. Maylandsea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kassel Sakhri ran over to the corner to take the kick. Atherton's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Slimane Arav scored to the left of an out of position Ilassen Zaghouane, making the score, 0-2. The referee gave Atherton a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kassel Sakhri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maylandsea's Bellemou Mediouna. 1-2. 81 minutes in the game, Chedli Boudiaf fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ilassen Zaghouane having to interfere. Muhammad Belloumi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Muhammad Belloumi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bellemou Mediouna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Maylandsea players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
