Mourad Zemmouri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Camus, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Youcef Ghazi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mourad Zemmouri. Curdridge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Youcef Ghazi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Curdridge's Mourad Zemmouri got control of the ball when Youcef Ghazi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Khalida Abdelcrim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Birkenhead's Youcef Ghazi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mourad Zemmouri was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the last second Mourad Zemmouri throw himself and got hold of the ball when Florian Camus in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Florian Camus put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mourad Zemmouri. In the 24th minute Khalida Abdelcrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reda Lacen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Khalida Abdelcrim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Frawsen Belkhadem fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birkenhead's protests and gave Frawsen Belkhadem a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Birkenhead getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Frawsen Belkhadem hit a great ball. Curdridge's Mourad Zemmouri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Curdridge from getting a goal against them. In the 32ndth minute of the game Madjer Belkacem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birkenhead's Reda Lacen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Khalida Abdelcrim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Reda Lacen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Curdridge's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Camus came free, but Mourad Zemmouri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Florian Camus sped through Curdridge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mourad Zemmouri. Reda Lacen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Khalida Abdelcrim's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florian Camus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Birkenhead booed when Curdridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Madjer Belkacem didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curdridge's zone, Youcef Ghazi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mourad Zemmouri came out of the goal and Youcef Ghazi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Madjer Belkacem got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Khalida Abdelcrim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Khalida Abdelcrim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reda Lacen was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Khalida Abdelcrim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Reda Lacen made a huge save. In the 86th minute, Frawsen Belkhadem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Youcef Ghazi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Birkenhead's supporters rose to their feet, but Youcef Ghazi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mourad Zemmouri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 98 minutes, Madjer Belkacem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curdridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madjer Belkacem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curdridge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
