Spectators: 6747 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abdenour Zaâmoum kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdenour Zaâmoum in the 3rd minute of play forced Holmer Green's goalkeeper Khaled Mezghich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antar Benchenaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khaled Mezghich having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Abdellah Sadi made a precise shot to the right of Mouloud Canhadja. Matlock City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 10 played minutes Matlock City got a freekick which was hit by Abdenour Zaâmoum. Mouloud Canhadja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdellah Sadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Antar Benchenaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khaled Mezghich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdenour Zaâmoum in the 14th minute of play. Khaled Mezghich came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Matlock City's Antar Benchenaa. But to his dismay, Antar Benchenaa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Holmer Green's Kader Saci in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matlock City's goalie prevented a goal. Antar Benchenaa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Antar Benchenaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matlock City's supporters rose to their feet, but Antar Benchenaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khaled Mezghich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antar Benchenaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antar Benchenaa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Khaled Mezghich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yacoub Sellami to strike the kick off in the second half. Antar Benchenaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 played minutes Holmer Green got a freekick which was hit by Ikhlas Tellidji. In the 63rd minute, Antar Benchenaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mouloud Canhadja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdellah Sadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Abdenour Zaâmoum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matlock City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdenour Zaâmoum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Matlock City's zone, Abdellah Sadi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mouloud Canhadja came out of the goal and Abdellah Sadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Holmer Green's Khaled Mezghich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdenour Zaâmoum in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Holmer Green's Sofyane Belfaa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 96th minute, Holmer Green's Yacoub Sellami ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mouloud Canhadja. Mouloud Canhadja yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Matlock City lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
