In the 16th minute of the match Bahnini Reda Madouni sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Slimane Amara skillfully saved the ball. Azzedine Ouar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Agwama Deghmani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achik Mebtoul's late challenge caught a Shaftesbury's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Achik Mebtoul helped the player get up and apologised. Achik Mebtoul kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Slimane Amara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agwama Deghmani in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Winchester got a freekick which was hit by Hichem Bey. Winchester's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Azzedine Ouar 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
