The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amhaws Derrida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Jeanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Mohamed Abbes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Amhaws Derrida. Amhaws Derrida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohamed Abbes in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Mohamed Abbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amhaws Derrida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Hendon's Dylan Jeanson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amhaws Derrida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dylan Jeanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Amhaws Derrida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ponteland AFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nabil Saadane hit a great ball. After 45 minutes, Mounir Abbas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ponteland AFC and the Hendon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Mounir Abbas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amhaws Derrida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mohamed Abbes went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Abdenouz made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Abdenouz in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mabrouk Zian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hendon's Mabrouk Zian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zahi Zouccal in the 67th minute of play. Ponteland AFC's Zahi Zouccal got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dylan Jeanson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amhaws Derrida having to make a save. The supporters of Ponteland AFC booed when Hendon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chih Mecherara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ponteland AFC's Ilyas Aounellah couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hendon. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Younes Soltani during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Adam Abdenouz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dylan Jeanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hendon had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
