Spectators: 6756 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1756, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Nawfel Zahouania in the 2nd minute of play forced Lichfield's goalkeeper Malik Mezghich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lichfield's Malik Mezghich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nawfel Zahouania in the 6th minute of play. Abed Meskouri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frawsen Nemchi having to interfere. Ifthen Baali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Malik Mezghich made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amzun Lounis in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frawsen Nemchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot by Rabah Arouaba from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Malik Mezghich's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 26 minutes into the match, Heckmondwike AFC's Nawfel Zahouania sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Malik Mezghich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lichfield's Malik Mezghich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Lichfield from getting a goal against them. After 28 played minutes Lichfield got a freekick which was hit by Driss Achoui. Ifthen Baali in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Malik Mezghich, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Amzun Lounis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frawsen Nemchi having to interfere. Frawsen Nemchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abed Meskouri, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Abed Meskouri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Ifthen Baali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Slimane Sam hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, Lichfield's Amzun Lounis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frawsen Nemchi was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When Otman Hadjadj fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heckmondwike AFC's protests and gave Otman Hadjadj a yellow card for diving instead. Otman Hadjadj hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Heckmondwike AFC's zone, Abed Meskouri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frawsen Nemchi came out of the goal and Abed Meskouri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Nawfel Zahouania was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heckmondwike AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lichfield the free kick. Nawfel Zahouania hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Abed Meskouri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malik Mezghich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ifthen Baali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Lichfield's goal looked a bit too open when Nawfel Zahouania came free, but Malik Mezghich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Heckmondwike AFC's Ifthen Baali sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Malik Mezghich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amzun Lounis got free with Frawsen Nemchi in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Nawfel Zahouania left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Heckmondwike AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ifthen Baali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ifthen Baali struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Malik Mezghich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heckmondwike AFC. Lichfield were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
