Adam Hindi charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Hindi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abdelkader Oudin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nabil Zitouni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Southwell's goalkeeper Nabil Zitouni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aissa Daouadji came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Southwell's Ishak Makkeb. But to his dismay, Ishak Makkeb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Adam Hindi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ishak Makkeb made a kick off. After some careless play in the Southwell defense, Abdelkader Oudin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nabil Zitouni. The Southwell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nabil Zitouni should have stopped the shot. Nabil Zitouni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelkader Oudin in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naïm Ghoumari in the 90th minute of play forced Southwell's goalkeeper Nabil Zitouni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelkader Oudin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nabil Zitouni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Southwell's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
