Shireoaks City's Tayeb Bedroni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amad Abbas in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Shireoaks City's goal looked a bit too open when Kaddour Firoud came free, but Tayeb Bedroni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Kader Zemmam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karim Kensi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Ahaszzi Achiu came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Shireoaks City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahaszzi Achiu couldn't finish the play. Karim Kensi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Redouane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Notting Hill Gate City's Karim Kensi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Redouane in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Kaddour Firoud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tayeb Bedroni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahaszzi Achiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Notting Hill Gate City's zone, Ahaszzi Achiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Kensi came out of the goal and Ahaszzi Achiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Madhi Maouch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Notting Hill Gate City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madhi Maouch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tayeb Bedroni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaddour Firoud's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Shireoaks City's Ahaszzi Achiu got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmed Redouane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmed Redouane's late challenge caught a Notting Hill Gate City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmed Redouane helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Redouane in the 59th minute of play forced Notting Hill Gate City's goalkeeper Karim Kensi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Houssem Hadji took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karim Kensi. Notting Hill Gate City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Madhi Maouch was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Notting Hill Gate City were furious when Badis Nasro was red carded, 85 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
