Ismaïl Benmabrouk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otman Metidji in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khaldoun Ramdani was the one to do the kick off. Abdel Bezzaz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Kylian Belhouche in the 53rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Daniel Boufroura's left hand side. If Yannis Benzaghou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hassan Sabati's late challenge caught a Whitton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hassan Sabati helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Purfleet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hassan Sabati to maneuver through the defense. Otman Metidji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Whitton's Djamil Brahimi got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Purfleet eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
