An unexpectedly hard shot by Driss Mehenni in the 10th minute of play forced Selsdon's goalkeeper Bahnini Lourdjane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Selsdon's Bahnini Lourdjane got control of the ball when Achik Zouba tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Selsdon's goal looked a bit too open when Driss Mehenni came free, but Bahnini Lourdjane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Abdelkader Halimi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Driss Mehenni to strike the kick off in the second half. Bahnini Lourdjane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Driss Mehenni, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Bahnini Lourdjane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Achik Zouba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Annscroft United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
