The mood of the audience was pleasant when Abdelmalik Dali Bey made the kick off which started today's match. Bendjedid Akvayli came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Bloomsbury's Abdenour Hanous. But to his dismay, Abdenour Hanous quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Salem Lacen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelhafid Abdessalam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdellah Belhadj having to interfere. If Abdelmalik Dali Bey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Salem Lacen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bendjedid Akvayli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Salem Lacen made the kick off in the second half. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 52nd minute, but Bendjedid Akvayli got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Birmingham Selly Oak City hanging dry this time. Bendjedid Akvayli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salem Lacen in the 54th minute of play. Abdenour Hanous's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Bendjedid Akvayli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 58th minute, Abdelhafid Abdessalam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdellah Belhadj was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 61st minute Salem Lacen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bendjedid Akvayli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bloomsbury's Azziz Racim got a free kick in the 64th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Birmingham Selly Oak City's Abdallah Belmadi tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Birmingham Selly Oak City's Bendjedid Akvayli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salem Lacen in the 66th minute of play. Abdenour Hanous fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bendjedid Akvayli having to interfere. Bloomsbury's Abdellah Belhadj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelmalik Dali Bey in the 73rd minute of play. When Birmingham Selly Oak City's Abdelmalik Dali Bey in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bloomsbury's goalie prevented a goal. Abdenour Hanous sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Birmingham Selly Oak City's Samir Nasri seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samir Nasri the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Birmingham Selly Oak City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samir Nasri had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Bloomsbury a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Azziz Racim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Birmingham Selly Oak City's Bendjedid Akvayli. 1-3. The supporters of Bloomsbury booed when Birmingham Selly Oak City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheb Mediouna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Abdallah Belmadi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bloomsbury's Azziz Racim couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Birmingham Selly Oak City. Bendjedid Akvayli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdenour Hanous in the 96th minute. If Salem Lacen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Bloomsbury could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Birmingham Selly Oak City throughout the match.
