Addas Boudjedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Addas Balaid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Addas Balaid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Addas Boudjedra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Salah Benguergoura reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jawed Metaref. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to East Grinstead getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Addas Balaid hit a great ball. East Grinstead's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rachid Lamine 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Salah Benguergoura might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jawed Metaref. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salah Benguergoura ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Ahmed Kafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rachid Lamine in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jawed Metaref saved East Grinstead from getting behind. In the 60th minute of the match Hocine Boulebda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jawed Metaref skillfully saved the ball. Salah Benguergoura took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jawed Metaref. Jawed Metaref dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Addas Balaid could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Addas Boudjedra made a huge save. When Salah Benguergoura came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ryde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salah Benguergoura couldn't finish the play. The Ryde players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
