But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ayache Nasri couldn't finish the play. Makhlouf Djoudi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, Crouch End's Anaba Abid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Badda Dahou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Stoneleigh United's goal looked a bit too open when Anaba Abid came free, but Badda Dahou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Makhlouf Djoudi had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Liamine Khennane's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
