Spectators: 6747 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Moïse Madjer started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ayache Nasri got free with Akim Danedji in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Widnes's Akim Danedji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moïse Madjer in the 7th minute of play. Ayrad Moumen kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Moïse Madjer sped through Widnes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Akim Danedji. Bilal Boufroura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akim Danedji having to interfere. Badda Dahou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghalib Bessou in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Widnes's goalkeeper Akim Danedji had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ayache Nasri. 24 minutes into the match, Widnes's goal looked a bit too open when Moïse Madjer came free, but Akim Danedji reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Ayrad Moumen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ayache Nasri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akim Danedji having to interfere. When Ayrad Moumen fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Widnes's protests and gave Ayrad Moumen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Ayrad Moumen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 played minutes Widnes got a freekick which was hit by Salih Zouba. Liamine Khennane was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Stoneleigh United booed when Widnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ayrad Moumen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Liamine Khennane in the 48th minute really tested Akim Danedji's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

In the 52nd match minute, Stoneleigh United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brahim Zerouali to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Salih Zouba from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Badda Dahou's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayache Nasri in the 57th minute of play forced Widnes's goalkeeper Akim Danedji to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ayrad Moumen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Badda Dahou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Ayache Nasri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akim Danedji saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ayache Nasri in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akim Danedji prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Ayache Nasri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes in the game, Karim Drid fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Badda Dahou having to interfere. A collision led to Stoneleigh United getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Madjid Baali hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Ghalib Bessou could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Badda Dahou however easily saved by the left post. Ghalib Bessou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Badda Dahou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Ayache Nasri might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akim Danedji. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ayache Nasri ran back to his position shaking his head. Tarik Boulebda charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tarik Boulebda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tarik Boulebda kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Karim Drid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Badda Dahou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Widnes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
