After 5 minutes of play, Penryn City's Nacer Liegeon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boumedienne Kouidri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boumedienne Kouidri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacer Liegeon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Penryn City's goalkeeper Kheireddine Benzaghou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehdi Belmadi. Kheireddine Benzaghou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rostom Zerari, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Newton Abbot booed when Penryn City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sahrane Gourion didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Abbot's zone, Ramdane Belhocine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boumedienne Kouidri came out of the goal and Ramdane Belhocine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boumedienne Kouidri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramdane Belhocine, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Kheireddine Benzaghou came out of the goal and Mehdi Belmadi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Sahrane Gourion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Penryn City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Mehdi Belmadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kheireddine Benzaghou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Newton Abbot getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ilassen Kherchi hit a great ball. Nacer Liegeon struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Boumedienne Kouidri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penryn City. After having played for 46 minutes, Ramdane Belhocine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penryn City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramdane Belhocine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Kheireddine Benzaghou came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Newton Abbot's Rostom Zerari. But to his dismay, Rostom Zerari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Penryn City's Kheireddine Benzaghou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rostom Zerari in the 65th minute of play. A hard shot 68 in the game by Ramdane Belhocine from a close distance when the talented Boumedienne Kouidri managed to make a qualified save. Newton Abbot's players were relieved. In the 71st minute, Newton Abbot's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nacer Liegeon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Boumedienne Kouidri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacer Liegeon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Penryn City were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Newton Abbot's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chokri Zaâmoucha took the corner. After taking down the ball on Penryn City's corner Chokri Zaâmoucha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Boumedienne Kouidri quite easily take care of the ball. Newton Abbot's Boumedienne Kouidri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacer Liegeon in the 84th minute of play. Kheireddine Benzaghou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rostom Zerari in the 88th minute of play. Salah Megharia's late challenge caught a Newton Abbot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salah Megharia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, Penryn City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salah Megharia to maneuver through the defense. A nice corner shot did that Mehdi Belmadi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kheireddine Benzaghou quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ramdane Belhocine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Boumedienne Kouidri made a huge save. Penryn City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
