Aissa Saïb charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aissa Saïb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Clowne getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aissa Saïb hit a great ball. Hamid Semghoun scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mahboub Morceli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frawsen Chaib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakim Ziani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frawsen Chaib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakim Ziani went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Steeple Claydon's Frawsen Chaib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malik Messaoudi in the 29th minute of play. Alsan Nasro kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Mahboub Morceli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chadli Bougherra in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Steeple Claydon getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Seddik Tayebi hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chadli Bougherra to make the kick off. If Hakim Ziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Malik Messaoudi in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frawsen Chaib saved Steeple Claydon from getting behind. Frawsen Chaib didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Chadli Bougherra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hakim Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frawsen Chaib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malik Messaoudi in the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Mouloud Barbarossa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malik Messaoudi struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Frawsen Chaib didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clowne. After some careless play in the Clowne defense, Chadli Bougherra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mahboub Morceli. The Clowne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mahboub Morceli should have stopped the shot. After 94 minutes, Chadli Bougherra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Steeple Claydon and the Clowne players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Steeple Claydon getting a freekick after 94 minutes play.
