With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nabil Belhadj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belkacem Kermali in the 36th minute of play forced Gatwick United's goalkeeper Nabil Belhadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joudi Saâdallah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Stratford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joudi Saâdallah came free, but Madani Khelfellah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Mounir Mazzid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Joudi Saâdallah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Madani Khelfellah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stratford AFC's Mounir Mazzid got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 84 played minutes Stratford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Achraf Selmi. Gatwick United's Mamaar Mezghenna couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stratford AFC. When Belkacem Kermali fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stratford AFC's protests and gave Belkacem Kermali a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
