Spectators: 6746 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 0) Bachir Lacen made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bachir Lacen in the 3rd minute of play forced Grasmere AFC's goalkeeper Badr El Kounya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdelhakim Zaaboub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nasserredine Embarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noureddine Rabiâ having to interfere. Abdelhakim Zaaboub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chakib Zemmamouche during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Grasmere AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chakib Zemmamouche. Asmil Sam struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Badr El Kounya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayleigh. After having played for 43 minutes, Abdelhakim Zaaboub managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grasmere AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdelhakim Zaaboub was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Nasserredine Embarek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noureddine Rabiâ. Rayleigh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nasserredine Embarek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nasserredine Embarek was the one to do the kick off. Rayleigh's Merouane Benmabrouk got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Merouane Benmabrouk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grasmere AFC's Badr El Kounya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merouane Benmabrouk in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bachir Lacen in the 62nd minute of play forced Grasmere AFC's goalkeeper Badr El Kounya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Badr El Kounya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merouane Benmabrouk in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Mounir Saïd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bachir Lacen in the 70th minute of play forced Grasmere AFC's goalkeeper Badr El Kounya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Rayleigh booed when Grasmere AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chakib Zemmamouche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asmil Sam, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bachir Lacen in the 77th minute of play forced Grasmere AFC's goalkeeper Badr El Kounya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nasserredine Embarek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Noureddine Rabiâ when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Merouane Benmabrouk notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Grasmere AFC's Badr El Kounya. Badr El Kounya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bachir Lacen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Badr El Kounya having to interfere. Badr El Kounya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bachir Lacen's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Nasserredine Embarek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rayleigh's zone, Abdelhakim Zaaboub stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noureddine Rabiâ came out of the goal and Abdelhakim Zaaboub tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grasmere AFC's Badr El Kounya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bachir Lacen in the 95th minute of play.
